The 3rd book in Finlay Donovan’s ongoing series is just as fast paced as books 1 & 2. This time Finlay owes the Russian mob a favor after she and her nanny/partner-in-crime Vero accidentally destroy a luxury car that they may have “borrowed” in the process of saving the life of Finlay’s ex-husband in book 2.
With Mob boss Feliks still running the show from behind bars, he gives Finlay the task of finding a contract killer before the cops do. Problem is, everything points to the killer being an officer of the law.
Luckily for Finley, the hot cop Nick who’s part of Finlay’s love triangle has started up a citizen’s police academy. Having the combined pressure from Finlay’s looming book deadline and now Feliks task, this is enough to convince Finlay and Vero to sign up for citizen police academy.
The sign up gives Finlay and Vero the perfect cover-up to sleuth out the real criminal and free themselves from the mob’s clutches – all the while dodging spies, confronting Vero’s past, and juggling the daily trials of parenthood.
I am still obsessed with all these characters! Finlay and Vero’s ultra smart banters had me laughing out so loud. The whirlwind action packed plot with the surprising, WTH cliffhangers continue to fuel my addiction to this series!
This is another ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me and I’m anxiously waiting for book 4
